FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 8, 2026

NEW LENOX, IL: Game Day USA, a national leader in producing amateur baseball events, is pleased to partner with Bella Fiori, an award winning local flower shop in New Lenox, to provide carnations to Moms at this weekend’s Illinois Silver State Championships, taking place at the Wintrust Crossroads Sports Complex of New Lenox from May 8-10, 2026. The event is the largest Mother’s Day baseball event in the Chicagoland area, with 120+ traveling teams.

“Team Moms are the unsung heroes of youth sports, and flowers are a universal symbol of appreciation. We recognize all the work Moms do behind the scenes to help their teams and families run smoothly,” said Rich Janor, Founder and President of Game Day USA. “Players and coaches are always in the spotlight on the ballfield, and since it’s Mother’s Day weekend, we decided to offer a token of our appreciation to the Moms,” Janor continued.

The Wintrust Crossroads Sports Complex of New Lenox has quickly emerged as a major driver of economic impact and growth in the Village of New Lenox, with countless visitors descending upon New Lenox every spring and summer weekend from across the state, region and country. While sports tourism typically focuses on restaurants and hotels, this collaboration with Bella Fiori is an illustrative example of the powerful impact of sports tourism on locally owned family businesses as well.

“Our slogan here is ‘say it with flowers,” said DeLynn Zambon, who owns the Bella Fiori flower shop along with her sister, Suzette Zambon. “The Wintrust Crossroads Sports Complex of New Lenox has already been a great asset for the community, and we are grateful for this sizable piece of Mother’s Day business,” Zambon continued. Bella Fiori recently celebrated its 25th anniversary in New Lenox, and was voted best florist in Lincolnway in 2021.

Game Day USA will be gifting carnations to the first one thousand Moms to arrive at the Mother’s Day weekend baseball event on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
