NAPERVILLE, IL: Game Day USA is pleased to announce the Pediatric Brian Tumor Foundations’s Vs. Cancer Program is an Official Partner of its 2021 All-Star Weekend program. The Vs. Cancer Program, together with the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, is committed to curing childhood brain tumors, caring for impacted families along their journey, and helping survivors and families thrive.

“This is all about kids helping kids,” said Rich Janor, Founder and President of Game Day USA. “We also thought this would help All-Star Weekend athletes and families keep perspective. Every game isn’t the seventh game of the World Series and isn’t a matter of life and death. Kids should be focused on having fun, honoring their families, and enjoying the gifts and talents they have been given,” Janor continued.

All-Star Weekends (ages 8U-16U) feature MVPs and top players from Game Day USA baseball and softball tournaments across the United States. Modeled after MLB’s All-Star Weekend, Game Day USA’s program features fun, festivity, evaluation, instruction, and game competition. This year’s All-Star Weekends will be three days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and organizers are inviting former Major Leaguers and college coaches to instruct and mentor young ballplayers.

The Vs. Cancer logo has been placed on the sleeve of every All-Star Weekend jersey. Additionally, any family that makes a voluntary $10 charitable donation will receive a pair of yellow shoelaces that can be worn in game competition to further raise awareness. Leaders for each All-Star Weekend will be publicly recognized during the Opening Ceremony for each event, and prizes will be awarded, including a Golden Helmet Award for the top fundraisers.

“The children and families we serve rely heavily on the support of our Vs. Cancer fundraising teams. We applaud their efforts and generous spirit! On behalf of our foundation, and the 28,000 children and teens currently battling a brain tumor, thank you. We love that Game Day USA has dedicated its All-Star Weekends to our Vs. Cancer Stars and their families. Together, we’re fighting for healthier, happier futures,” said Rachel Mark, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s Director of Campaigns.
